1. Can I have a pet?

Are Pets Allowed – Your pet 25lbs or under is welcomed at Brooklawn. We require on file: applicable city license, rabies and spay, neuter information and emergency information.


2. What is included in the rent?

What is included in the rent?
Your monthly rent includes heat, hot water, AC, trash removal, and water and sewer. Cable and telephone hook-ups are available in each apartment, but these items are not included in your rent and you must provide your own telephone and television.


3. What type of resident functions are held in the Community Room?

Brooklawn is always on the lookout for activities and programs that are of interest to our residents. Blood Pressure Clinics, 4th of July Ice cream social, pizza parties and an In house flu shot clinic are all activities that our residents look forward to.


4. Is Brooklawn convenient to city happenings?

Brookline is steps from walking and bike paths in Baker Park and only a 15 minute walk to downtown. Location include dining, shopping, entertainment, historical sites and museums. Brooklawn is also near the Department of Aging Senior Center.


5. Do we have public transportation that comes to our facility for the residents?

Transit Plus is a paid service that offers transportation to private appointments. Taxi service is also available as well if needed.


6. Can we visit a vacant unit or is there a brochure that shows the floor plan?

The Property Manager at Brooklawn would be pleased to show you our lovely model unit.


7. Is there an elevator?

Yes, Brooklawn is equipped with an elevator for residents to use


8. Is smoking allowed in the building?

Smoking is not permitted within the residents’ apartment and smoking is prohibited in all areas outside of your apartment, within the interior of the building, and in any of the common areas of the building. Common areas are all hallways, stairwells, lobbies, community rooms, elevators, rest rooms, laundry rooms, kitchens and trash rooms.
Smoking is permitted only in the designated smoking areas.


9. Are there personal care services in the building?

No, Brooklawn does not offer personal care services, however residents may have services using local private home care agencies to assist with their needs.


10. Do I need to pay an application and a security deposit?

Yes, all residents must pay
1) An Application fee of $30.
2) A security deposit $500 prior to moving into the property.


11. What happens if I need maintenance in my apartment?
Residents call the property management office and ask for a work order to be made. After hour calls or call of an emergency nature are routed to our answering service for immediate assistance when necessary.
